The Ghiassabad comes from a small, skilled weaving community in which knotting is still understood today as a way of preserving its own cultural signature: knowledge that stays within families and is passed on. These rugs have a quieter presence than the big names: restrained in their colour mood, with carefully chosen patterns that combine traditional ornament with a calm, almost contemporary clarity. They are made with hard-wearing wool and a dense, patient knotting technique that has grown over generations in a village setting. Where the wool is dyed in small batches, the tones drift gently into one another. This Abrash is no flaw but the honest trace of handcraft. The result is a rug that unites durability and quiet elegance into a companion for everyday life.

This rug measures 417 × 310 cm and works well in a living room, dining room or bedroom. It comes in beige and features a central medallion; the border is red. It is hand-knotted, with a pile of 100% virgin wool and a foundation of 100% cotton. Rugs of this quality typically have 250,000 to 490,000 knots per square metre. It is between 50 and 100 years old.

In the living room, a beige rug forms a light island that anchors the seating; the coffee table stands fully on it and the sofa sits flush.

With the AR Visualizer, you can place this rug in your room to scale before you order and see how it looks.
