Beni Bou Yacoub

Hand-knotted

Red, 344x185 cm

Price€1.910,00

The Beni Bou Yacoub is made in the mountain regions of Morocco. It is traditionally knotted by the Berber women of the region, a craft passed down through generations that traditionally works without a template. Its hallmark is a pared-back design language: a light, often cream-coloured ground across which clear diamond patterns in dark tones run. For the Berbers, the diamond is more than decoration. It has long been regarded as a protective sign. The pure new wool is warm and soft underfoot. Where it is hand-spun, Abrash appears: a lively play of colour that marks every Beni Bou Yacoub as a true piece of handcraft.

This rug measures 344 × 185 cm. It comes in red and features a central medallion; the border is multicoloured. It is hand-knotted, with a pile of 100% virgin wool and a foundation of 100% virgin wool. It is between 20 and 50 years old.

A red rug warms any room; with pale walls and dark wood it becomes the calm anchor of the interior.

With the AR Visualizer, you can place this rug in your room to scale before you order and see how it looks.
